Questions, answered

Everything people ask us before their first cleaning.

How often should solar panels be cleaned?
Our most popular plan is every 3 months โ€” it keeps production high through Northern California's dusty summers and harvest season. Twice a year is a sensible minimum; near orchards, fields or busy roads, every 2 months or monthly pays for itself.
What do you clean with? Will it damage my panels?
Deionized water and a soft brush โ€” the method panel manufacturers recommend. No soap, no chemicals, no pressure washer on the glass. Deionized water dries spot-free and leaves no residue behind.
How long does a cleaning take?
About an hour for systems up to 20 panels. Bigger systems take roughly an extra half hour per additional 20 panels.
Do I need to be home?
No โ€” we just need access to the panels and an outdoor water faucet. If there's no faucet available, tell us in the quote form and we'll bring our own water.
How do I get a price?
Use the instant quote on our home page โ€” panels, stories, roof type and city, and your price appears on the spot with no contact details needed. Bird proofing and power washing are quoted with a quick phone call.
What's the difference between one-time and a plan?
Same cleaning either way. Plan customers pay less per clean โ€” up to 20% off on the monthly plan โ€” and stay on the schedule automatically: monthly, or every 2, 3, 4, 6 or 12 months.
Why is the first cleaning priced higher than the ones after?
Because the first visit is almost always the dirtiest. Panels that haven't been professionally cleaned in a while carry baked-on grime, hard-water spots and bird droppings that take real time to lift safely. Once that first deep clean is done, keeping your panels spotless is lighter work โ€” so every cleaning after the first costs less.
What's your cancellation policy?
Life happens โ€” rescheduling is free as long as your new date is within two months of the original. We ask for at least three days' notice to cancel a cleaning; cancellations inside three days carry a 15% fee, so rescheduling is always the better move. Subscriptions can be cancelled any time with one month's notice before your next cleaning.
Do you do commercial systems?
Yes โ€” offices, farms, warehouses and ground-mount arrays. Tick the commercial box in the quote form. If the site has no water source, we bring our own.
Are you local?
Family-owned and Sacramento-based since 2023. When you call, you talk to the people who do the work.
